UREMS EMT-B Course Application

The class will begin in September 2022 with a CPR certification course. Additionally, students may be required to attend training sessions on select Saturdays to prepare for the EMT test and receive addition certifications including EVOC. Further information on scheduling will be provided closer to the start of the class.

The cost of the class will be $950 for University of Richmond students. The book for the course will be Emergency Care and Transportation of the Sick and Injured 11th edition (Essentials package $270 - Premiere package $450). In terms of certification, CPR, and EVOC, certifications are free (included in course), the psychomotor examination will cost $50, and the written test is free the first time you take it. Funding from the University of Richmond has allowed us to subsidize the expense of the class to well below national average for UR students.
