DRUG AND ALCOHOL POLICY

Use of illegal drugs and the unlawful use of alcohol by students and employees on University property are prohibited.  Violators are subject to University sanctions as well as prosecution through the appropriate legal channels.  The University annually publishes the University Alcohol and Drug Policy.  A copy of this policy is available in the University of Richmond Student Handbook which is available on-line at http://studentdevelopment.richmond.edu/student-handbook/index.html. For employees, by law, the University workplace is drug-free. No one is allowed to use, make, sell, distribute, possess, or be under the influence of any controlled substance (including alcohol) while at work.
